Masa Konno is a partner based in Japan. Prior to joining YCP in 2025, he worked for The Long-Term Credit Bank of Japan (currently, Shinsei Bank), Boston Consulting Group, Rakuten, A.T. Kearney, and Deloitte Tohmatsu Financial Advisory. For over 20 years, he has been providing consulting services to financial sector clients, including major banks, regional banks, insurance companies, securities companies, non-banks, payment service providers, and fintech companies. His consulting themes cover a wide range of areas, such as management strategy, business strategy, M&A strategy, marketing, store/channel strategy, operational efficiency, and cost reduction. He also has lots of experience as a training instructor at financial institutions and as a contributor to finance-industry magazines.
